Dec. 17 will be a Potluck day AND our last meeting      in 2008.
Feb. 11 will be a Potluck meeting
June 15 will be last meeting before summer break

The actual filming of the club video project has begun with Kaily McGean (now employed with video producer Pink Fox Productions) working closely with Janet and Sue Ehler (of the Monday morning  Stroke exercise group at Cole Harbour Place) at practice sessions on Oct.22 and 29,  for the filming planned for Nov.5.
This project will produce a home workout video for the club members;  when DVDs of it are made, each member will get one free,  so you can work out in company with people and exercises you're familiar with, at home.

Above are pictures of the physio practicing, led by Janet Millar and Sue Ehler, at the Oct. 22 meeting

Unfortunately, our singer/ musical therapist, Anna Pleskett now has employment committments that prevent her Wednesday visits, so the pre-meeting singsongs are off until we can find another singer/ musician who can revive them.  We're trying to find a replacement.

Janet Millar 1:30 to 2.00 is the group physio time with club physiotherapist Janet Millar leading  the members in exercises to the pacing rhythm provided by the cheery musicians who contribute their time and skill on a voluntary basis.   At 2.00, Janet works one-on-one with members who have special physical  problems,

Helma Osmond Helma Osmond, our kind speech therapist volunteer, provides on-going help for members with speech problems.

The rest of the members eagerly tackle the lunch which the kitchen volunteers have prepared.

After the lunch, there are usually other activities such as bingo or arranged speakers.

(Check here for weekly updates for any special items or presentations planned for next meeting.)
