The Dartmouth Stroke Support Club wants to hear from stroke survivors, caregivers, volunteers and the families and friends of stroke survivors. We will post your comments, stories or pictures of general interest and club history here.

This club was started by a small group of stroke survivors, care-givers and interested medical people on Oct.6, 1976.

First President , initial financial backer and major organizer was Ray Boland, himself a victim of stroke. He, with Penny  & Peter Dann , Mavis & Len Finch, Nancy & Dr. Anthony Lamplugh, were  among the founding members of our club.
The Club's 30th anniversary  occurred October, 2006

Janet Millar began as club leader of Physio exercises shortly after the club began, and, happily for us, continues as such to this day.
